In 1996 Skyrms published his book “The Evolution of the Social Contract” which we have been reviewing thus far. In 2004 he followed up with another book, “The Stag Hunt and the Evolution of Social Structure.” While his first book dealt primarily with cooperation and defection within the context of what is, generally speaking, the prisoner’s dilemma, his more recent book deals with what is called the stag hunt.
